Blog 4 Continued
Throughout the span of reading Death of a Salesman, we understand that the Lowman's are very unethical. From a young age we observe Biff and we see how reckless as well as careless he is. Biff was seen as a jock, but often stole and drove without a license , he is also known for treating ladies wrong. A possible reason for biff being so reckless with the ladies is because he caught his dad cheating on his mom with that woman in Boston. Willy's whole life is based off of unethical things. He tries to kill himself multiple times, he takes $50 a week from Charley to pretend he has pay, and he gets outraged when Charley tried to give him a job. When out on dinner Happy and Biff lie about their father claiming that "he is just some guy", this is an awful thing to do with someone that has problems like Willy. When Willy sees Bernard he lies to him and tells him that Biff is making it big out West and happy is big in New York.
